Papyrus Art Painting - Replica from the Tomb of Pashedu

Papyrus Art Painting - Replica from the Tomb of Pashedu My replicated papyrus art, from the tomb painting of Pashedu, the overseer of the workers at Deir el Medina. The image shows Pashedu, humbly dressed and bowing/ praying underneath a date tree. Dates were considered the bread of the desert, and were highly prized for their longevity and preservation qualities. The Tomb of Pashedu (TT 3) has not been open to the public long. It is located in the necropolis of Deir el-Medina on the West Bank at Luxor (ancient Thebes). Little is known about this individual. He had the title, "Servant in the Place of Truth on the West of Thebes". The tomb itself is probably dated to the early years of Ramesses II, so the deceased probably began working while Seti I was King.
